Welcome to Up Here In The Gray!

I know most people are wondering what that means. In the movie “The Gentleman,” Colin Farrell enters a small shop that sells sandwiches. Four youths are harassing other customers, and Colin Farrell's character gets involved as he goes through his monologue at the end of the scene. He looks at the four youths, points to his head, and says, “Up here, in the gray.”

He was talking about the brain's gray matter. In my other blog called “I Healed My Crohn’s Colitis," I talk about how I healed my illness using meditation, common sense, and the gray matter.

However, I noticed I was posting off-topic posts that had nothing to do with healing Crohn’s or Colitis, and if new readers were interested in understanding what I did to heal myself, they were not getting it from those posts. I decided to start another blog so I could post about whatever I was passionate about. Things that might bother me, or just wanted to write, or things that I do not understand, and I wanted to write them down, hoping maybe someone can help and share a really good answer in the comment section.

I was dyslexic, so fifty-five years ago, they did not understand it, and my graduating class was a whopping thirty-six kids, so they were not asking questions about it either. I graduated, not really being able to read or write. Through the gift of my illness, Crohn’s Colitis, I had to force myself to learn on my own. Once I got going with reading, I could not stop. Writing was different until I wanted to share my story twenty years later of how I healed myself. That is when my “I Healed My Crohn’s Colitis” blog started. I had the toughest editor, who was also a good friend, edit all my posts. But instead of her editing, I had to do it, and she taught me how to write. Now, with new editing programs, it is much easier and less time-consuming than it was back then.

I am happy you took the time to read my blog. I aim to share my thoughts and passions without trying to change your mind or cause arguments, hoping to create a genuine connection.

Thank You
