Spiritual Gravy

In the many years that I been practicing meditation, hands-on healing, and general practices like Chi Gung or Tai Chi, you start to notice your personal energy field. This energy field can expand and contract depending on our perception of the world. I want to find the right words here. We choose to accept a culture of high stress, technology, and instant gratification. We work long hours, and we use illness and misery as badges of honor.
We live in an age of social media and instant information. This is my opinion, not anyone else's. We are living under a blanket of negative energy that constantly attacks us. We are being programmed to pick sides to distrust or dislike anyone who thinks differently from our beliefs or our side. I believe it's being deliberately done to foster this feeling of mistrust toward our world and make us feel unsafe in our own energy. We are so distracted that we have lost our way, and what was normal, like feeling connected to one another, has diminished.
What do I mean by diminished? Instead of your personal energy expanding, it shrinks, and we become self-absorbed. We have a personal energy that surrounds us like an egg. So, you might think what I am talking about is weird. Your energy field is a real thing. If you go to your place of worship and sit, watching a few inches above people's heads or shoulders, you might see a wavy appearance, like heat rising off the road, that might seem brighter. That is that person's energy field.
With all the years I've been doing this, I've started noticing others' energy not by seeing it physically but by sensing it energetically. I started noticing people differently. People who were in pain or sick, nothing that you could see, but just a feeling. People I've never met before walk up and start talking to them as if I've known them for years.
I was in my local bookstore again, looking at the new age section. This woman and her husband were in there with me. This woman's energy was unbelievable. It was warm and safe. It was refreshing be near her. I walked over to where she was standing and, in front of her husband, asked her, "What do you do?” She looked up, smiled, and said, "Why?" I explained I was not a stalker, but you have great energy. I looked into her eyes, and they literally twinkled. With a big smile, she said I just moved down from another state, and I am opening a Yoga studio a couple of towns over. I am a yoga teacher.
Over the years, I have had many of those kinds of connections with people. I started to question myself, “Why is this person coming into my life? Am I here for them or they here for me?” I started using my energy field as part of my senses. I trusted it. I still have friends I connected with over the years, not understanding why at first, people who, without having that first energetic spark, I would have missed out on meeting.
This energy that vibrates from our body can be called your Aura, but I like to call it spiritual gravy. When you meet someone like-minded and/or energetic, it’s not your mind that matches up; it's your energy. Your energy meets a stranger before your mind does.
As I worked on myself through meditation, prayer, and anything that positively expanded my energy. People found it easy to talk to me in line at the bank, supermarket, or at my local breakfast place.
I believe this spiritual gravy is like an ocean; everything swims in it. Because anything that has a life force has this energy surrounding it—the trees, the animals, the plants, the earth, everything that has a life force, when everyone figures this out and starts to practice positive energy expansion, like prayer, meditation, or creating a positive mindset, we as a species can move forward.
In 1993, 4,000 transcendental practitioners traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in a study to determine whether they could reduce crime in one of the city's worst areas. This was a 54-day study during which the violent crime rate dropped by 23 percent. That means to me the spiritual gravy started vibrating at a higher rate, lowering violent crime by choosing a different path that raised the vibration of the people around them and the city.
What if 8 billion people started expanding their energy? What if 8 billion people choose this path? Not to say choose the same god, the same cultures, or the same belief system, but to choose to expand their energy positively, to expand their personal spiritual gravy to a vibrant, higher level than this world is vibrant now.
As much as the internet, social media, and media somewhat connect us, spiritual gravy connects us more personally as well. I believe we are living in dark times right now. It's not what's going on in the world that's more; we are under constant attack from this darkness that affects us, or maybe I should say me. It's affected me. It seems to be smothering the light inside of me. I need to remember that only I can be affected by this negative energy. The light inside of me burns bright, but I am the one who needs to see it. When I meditate at night, I hold space for everyone else as they hold it for me. This outside noise has no power; it's a lie, nothing more. I swim in the spiritual gravy, I choose to take the time, and see my own light. When I sit in meditation, in prayer, in what practice brings me peace. I, too, am helping raise the vibration of the spiritual gravy around myself and others.
We are all connected; we are all one if we choose it.
Thank you for being my teacher.
Bob.
To my readers, I needed, I guess, to get this feeling out and off my chest.
