What Is Your Reality?

I've been meditating an hour a day, doing a Wim Hof-style breathing meditation. The person I am listening to has switched it up. They breathe in through the nose and exhale through the nose for 35 breaths, then exhale and gently hold their breath with empty lungs for 90 seconds. Then breathe in and hold for 15 seconds. I do this for ten rounds. This practice often sparks a feeling of euphoria that can shift how I see and experience the world, inspiring me to explore new perceptions.
(This post is not instruction or any endorsement of doing this type of breathing without learning about and reading about its safety and/or performance.)
I also mix two or three different meditation practices to achieve the best outcome in every session I perform. I do this to weaken my physical reality, the one that we believe is our life we are in at this very moment. The solid chair we are sitting on and the room we are surrounded by. The life that needs permission and is governed by the can and the can't, and the universal truths that are the rules we live by without testing whether they're really true; can you bend them to your will, or are you the one creating the universe in the first place? This blending of practices makes me feel more in control of my experience and opens up new possibilities.
Quick story: I was at an ashram learning a new hands-on healing technique. How the class went: As the teacher explained how this technique came about and how it worked, she described a mental picture of all the super-powerful gurus sitting and meditating on the side of a vast ocean of healing energy. With her special training and her guru's permission, she could share this energy through us to our clients.
After 4-5 hours in this class, my mind was really clear. As she went over the last practice of the class, the teacher looked around the room, said, "Focus on me," and performed the healing session as instructed. But my mind went right to the picture she described, and I was sitting with the gurus, sharing this ocean of healing energy with my client.
Abruptly, the teacher spoke and said, "Follow the instruction I gave you." I was long gone and didn't hear her; a few minutes went by. Then she cleared her throat and said Excuse me, focus on me. Again, I was in a different world and never heard her. Finally, the teacher spoke much louder and said Whoever is not following the directions and is sitting with the gurus, it's time to return.
The person I was with nudged me and knocked me back into this reality. As I opened my eyes, I felt blissful and totally at peace. As my eyes focused, I had 20 people staring at me, and one pissed-off teacher. Then we all got a lecture about not doing what I did.
So, I pose a question. I created the same creation in my mind as the teacher, sitting with the gurus. I didn't need special training, secret teaching, or special prayers, or special permission. All I needed was a clear mind, a loving heart, clear imagination, and a focused mind. So instead of sitting with the gurus, why not just be the energy?
We are the creators on many levels, and the universe we create in this reality slowly manifests into the fake reality we believe we live in.
